Place a pot with water over high heat. In the meantime, peel and dice the potato.
Once boiling, add the potato and boil for 8-10 minutes.
At the same time, heat half of the oil in a pan over high heat. Cut the beef into strips and chop the garlic.
Once heated, add the beef together with the onion to the pan and a pinch of salt. Cook for 6-8 minutes over medium heat and stir occasionally.
Remove from heat when ready and season with salt and pepper. Optional: Add pickles cut into strips.
Drain the potato and season with the remaining oil. Add salt, pepper and chopped scallion.
Serve.
