Boil water in a pot. In the meantime, make cross cut at the top of the tomato of only a finger deep. Stir-fry the remaining tomato.
Add the tomato with the peas in the boiling water and let boil for 5 minutes. Next, remove, drain and blend.
Add salt and pepper to taste and cut the pork into medium pieces. In the meantime, heat half the oil in a pot over high heat.
Once heated, add the pork and brown all its sides for about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
At the same time, chop the onion, garlic and tomato. Next, cut the potato into medium pieces.
In the same pot, add the remaining oil with the onion, garlic and chopped tomato. Stir-fry for 5 minutes.
Next, add the blended tomato, pork, potato and half the basil leaves. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the potato is softened.
Five minutes before finishing, add the peas. Remove and serve the stew. Add the remaining basil leaves on top.
Optional: If you have more time, you can cook the stew over low heat for more time for better taste.
