Place a pot of water over high heat. While boiling, peel and dice the potato.
Once the water comes to a boil, add the potatoes. Let them boil for 10-12 minutes until softened.
Simultaneously, cut the broccoli into small florets, wash and place in another pot with boiling water.
Boil for 3 minutes with a pinch of salt. Remove, drain and set aside.
You can replace half of the broccoli with cauliflower.
Separately, place the grill over high heat. While heating, season the piece of beef with salt and pepper. Preferably use a lean cut.
Once heated, add half of the oil, spread and add the beef. Cook for 4 to 6 minutes per side. The time will depend on the thickness of the piece.
Once the potatoes are soft, remove and drain. Mash together with the garlic until creamy.
Add the milk, butter and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. You can add a pinch of nutmeg.
Season the broccoli with the remaining oil and a little salt.
Serve the beef with the mashed potatoes and broccoli on a plate.
