Clean the fish and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Place a pan over high heat. One heated, pour half of the oil and add the fish.
Cook for 3-4 minutes per side over medium heat. Once done, remove.

At the same time, cut off the woody ends of the asparagus and place in a pot with boiling water.
Boil for 3 minutes, remove and drain.
