Add salt and pepper to taste to the beef while you heat oil in a pot over high heat.
Once heated, add the beef and brown for 7 minutes over high heat.
At the sametime, peel and dice the potato and carrot.
Chop the garlic with the onion and bell pepper. Cut the green beans into pieces.
Add the onion, garlic and bell pepper. Stir-fry the beef for 5 minutes.
Then add the potato, green beans, carrot and peas to the pot.
Cover with water or broth, and take to high heat. Optional: Add a bay leaf and/or paprika.
Once boiling, lower the heat, cover and cook for 15 minutes until the beef and vegetables are soft.
Remove from heat and let sit for some minutes before serving.
