For this recipe you need cooked rice. If you have star anise or Chinese cinnamon, use it.
Place a pot filled with water over high heat. Once boiling, add broccoli and boil for 3 minutes.
Once done, remove, stop cooking with cold water, drain and set aside.
Chop the garlic with the ginger and set aside.
Cut the meat into pieces and place a wok over high heat. Once heated, add the oil.
Sear the chicken over medium heat for approximately 2 to 3 minutes per side.
Add the ginger, garlic and if you have star anise or Chinese cinnamon, add them.
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, a pinch of salt and broth. Cover and cook over low heat.
Stir occasionally or until the chicken is done.
Mix the cornstarch with a little cold water and add to the wok. Stir well and wait until thickened.
Season to taste and serve. Serve with rice and broccoli.
