For this recipe you need cooked rice.
Cut off the woody ends of the asparagus and then boil in salted water for 3-4 minutes.
Once blanched, remove and drain.
For the fish: Chop the garlic and ginger, and mix with the soy and oyster sauce. Soak the fish in the sauce.
Preheat a pan over medium heat and, once heated, add half the oil and then add the fish.
Cover and cook over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until ready but not dry.
Next, heat the remaining oil in another pan and stir-fry the asparagus. If you want, you can add garlic and ginger and/or chinese cinnamon. Turn off and set aside.
Serve the fish with rice and asparagus on a plate. Sprinkle with scallion.
