    Add double the volume of hot water or vegetable/chicken/meat broth to the rice.

    Cut and discard the woody asparagus ends. Cut into small pieces.

    Preheat a pan with oil over low heat. Once heated, add the asparagus and cook for 4 minutes while stirring.
