Instructions
Place a pot over medium heat. While heating, season the beef with salt and pepper to taste and cut into bite-size pieces.
Once heated, pour half of the oil, add the beef and brown on all sides for approximately 3-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Simultaneously, chop the onion and garlic.
Peel and cut the potato into pieces of the same size and the carrot into slices.
Add the remaining oil to the pot and heat over medium-high heat.
Add the onion along with the garlic and a pinch of salt. Stir-fry for 5 minutes over medium heat.
Add the beef with the potato and carrot and cover with water or broth. Add salt and pepper to taste and if you wish, you can add cumin.
Once boiling, lower the heat, cover and cook for 15 minutes. Season to taste.
Remove from heat and serve hot.
